Dibal PC scales with integrated artificial vision continue to win awards!

In the course of the 7th edition of the Observatory of Innovation in Consumer Goods (Observatorio de Innovación en Gran Consumo, OIGC), organised by the Cerdá Institute and held yesterday at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Dibal and Grabit were awarded for their outstanding contribution to the sector during 2023, thanks to our PC scales with integrated artificial vision.

This revolutionary solution implemented in our PC scales helps to identify the product placed on the plate, significantly improving the customer experience in the self-service sections of supermarkets, and contributing to the reduction of shrinkage.

The Innovation Observatory monitored 1,000 projects over 10 months, from which it selected 350 and then shortlisted 50, which passed the filter of an expert committee. This Committee chose the 20 most interesting initiatives, which received their awards yesterday. Many of these initiatives are the result of collaboration between manufacturers and distributors since, as the general director of the Institut Cerdà, Carlos Cabrera, emphasised, "collaboration has been consolidated as a key element for innovation and progress in the sector, as 56% of the initiatives identified have been collaboration between a manufacturer and a distributor".
